How does it work with Claude Code and Codex?
Agent Clan is an independent desktop workspace. It connects the Claude Code and Codex tools on your computer to interactive characters. You use your own agent accounts, and the original providers bill their usage.
Can always-on assistants like ChatGPT Dots, Grok Bot or Claude Duet work with my crew?
It’s planned, not in the app yet. Agent Clan will offer its own MCP connector. Add it to an assistant that accepts custom MCP connectors, and the assistant can see who in your crew is busy, done or waiting for you, hand a task to one of your agents, and bring you the result. Allowing or denying what an agent asks for stays with you.
Can I change Agent Clan just by asking an agent?
Yes, with Pro. Tell any Claude agent in your crew what you want: sparkles when a task is done, a crown on its character, something new in the room, a small panel, a colour theme or a sound. It writes a small mod with Agent Clan’s MCP tools, looks at a picture of the result, fixes what’s off, and the change appears right away, no restart. Mods stay in a Workshop folder on your computer, apart from the app, so updates don’t remove them, and you can turn any of them off on the Workshop page. Codex agents can’t write mods yet.
Do I need an account?
Yes, for Free and Pro alike: sign up in the app or on this site. Pro belongs to your account, so signing in on another computer brings it along, on up to 3 computers. Sign in on one more and the app offers to sign out the one you used longest ago; you can also remove one on your account page.
Do I have to use gestures?
No. Mouse and keyboard work too. To try gestures, open your hand and then make a fist to bring up the menu. Pinch, pull toward a character, and release to select. Voice input needs a microphone.
How does making a character from a photo work?
You can choose a photo and ask your own Claude Code account to suggest a character made from existing parts and colours. The photo is passed to Claude Code and its AI service for analysis; this step is not processed entirely on your computer. Only use photos you have permission to use. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What happens to my camera and audio?
Gesture recognition and speech-to-text run on your computer. Agent Clan does not upload camera frames or raw recordings. Transcribed text goes to your chosen agent and is handled by that service. Agent tasks still need an internet connection.
